Piplyn Lodge provides a range of services:

  • Agistment and spelling, long or short term stays for race horses, competition and pleasure horses, stallions, young horses as well ‘seniors’;
  • Foaling down including all subsequent care, weaning and the growing out of young stock;
  • Breeding to resident stallions or inseminating your mare with fresh chilled semen from outside stallions. This service includes all the preparatory and follow-up work for mares inseminated with frozen semen;
  • Leasing of brood mares. We can make available (on agreed terms) a number of thoroughbred mares and a few warmblood mares for breeding to the racing or performance stallion of your choice.

Also Andrew and Manuela Maclean from the Australian Equine Behaviour Centre are regular visitors to Piplyn Lodge. These clinics are always well attended, relaxed, informative and most importantly lots of fun.

Our approach to horse and property management combines scientific research, a lifetime of experience and a deep love of horses. This approach is reflected in the safe, healthy and horse friendly environment we have created, just 30 minutes from Canberra.

Outlined in the following sections are a range of the services on offer. Please take the opportunity to contact us, either by email, telephone or in person to discuss your particular needs.  Click on the photos below to navigate to further information on agistment and foaling down, breeding with Kilharken or with Lord of the Manor.
